Greg is Managing Director Global Investments for Wesley Clover. As a member of the Investment Committee, Greg is responsible for portfolio management and new investments. In particular, Greg develops and manages investment opportunities in global markets and leads international business development for portfolio companies.
From 2004 till 2015, Greg served as Vice President, Business Development at Wesley Clover where his responsibilities included strategic partnering, joint venture work, new geographic market entry initiatives and portfolio investment activities. Prior to joining Wesley Clover in 2004, he was Vice President Corporate Planning at March Networks, a leading provider of innovative broadband IP video applications. Before joining March Networks, Greg served in the Chairman’s office at Newbridge Networks during the critical period of business expansion leading to the company’s acquisition by Alcatel in 2000. Prior to Newbridge Networks, Greg served as senior political staff in multiple roles with the federal Parliament of Canada.
Greg holds a Masters of Business Administration and Honours Bachelor of Arts degrees from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Nihar is Managing Director of TaraSpan Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He joined the company in July 2008 as its AVP-Finance , then promoted to CFO in May 2009, and then COO in June 2015, bringing more than 12 years of financial management experience at high technology companies in the field of Information Technology and Telecom. Nihar is responsible for leading TaraSpan’s Accounting, Taxation, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Funds Management and Corporate Compliances.
A member of the senior management team, Nihar is responsible for strategic financing and strategic planning, investor relations and Board of Director relations. Nihar holds a Masters Degree in Commerce from Utkal University, Orissa.
Dr. Sommerer is currently President of Erlauf Holdings Ltd., a private equity investment company located in Canada and serves on the Board of Directors of a number of privately held technology companies.
In the period from 1996 to 2004 he founded, obtained financing for, and served as Chairman of three Internet oriented companies: GoodContacts Research Ltd., a contact management software company acquired by Reunion.com in 2004; Coventus Inc., an internet-based service for business travellers, which was liquidated in 2001; and Vienna Systems Corporation, a pioneer of voice-over-Internet technology acquired by Nokia Corporation in 1998.
From 1990 to 1998 Dr. Sommerer served as President, COO, Director and Vice-Chairman of Newbridge Networks Corporation, which was subsequently acquired by Alcatel for over $7 billion. Prior to Newbridge, he served in a number of technical, administrative and general management roles at Mitel Corporation and ITT Austria GmbH, now also part of Alcatel-Lucent.
Dr. Sommerer obtained the academic title of Dr.rer.soc.oec. from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien in 2007, after graduating with a professional engineering degree (Ing.) from HTBLuVA Mödling, Austria in 1968.
