Cleantech

The global transition to a low-carbon economy will create new markets for clean technologies that offer increased performance, lower costs and negative environmental impacts. The global market demand for clean technology is estimated to grow to $3 trillion by 2020 with the industry projected to be the 3rd largest global industrial sector by 2020, after electronics manufacturing and the automotive sector. In Canada there are close to 700 clean technology companies in areas such as power generation, waste management, energy utilization and transportation. Given the clean tech requirements from India, Canada is well positioned to play a key role in this market.
