TiE
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently 13,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 57 chapters across 14 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.
TaraSpan’s President Raj Narula is a TiE Charter Member and along with Jaswinder Kaur, Vice-President at TaraSpan, is a co-founder of the TiE Ottawa Chapter.
Nasscom
The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is a trade association of Indian Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. Established in 1988, NASSCOM is a non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainable growth for the industry and to harness IT and Communications technologies for inclusive and balanced growth. Globally NASSCOM has over 1200 members, of which over 250 are global companies from the US, UK, EU, Japan and China. NASSCOM’s member companies are in the business of software development, software services, software products, IT-enabled/BPO services and e-commerce. TaraSpan is a member of NASSCOM.
Canada India Business Council
The Canada-India Business Council has been a long-standing supporter of bilateral trade and investment growth between Canada and India.
Founded in 1982 by the Bank of Nova Scotia, Bombardier and the late Thomas Bata, the C-IBC has sought to deepen the relationship between corporate and institutional Canada and their Indian counterparts.
C-IBC is governed nationally by a Board of Directors, and is comprised of senior executives from Canada’s leading organizations involved in India and alongside industry leaders from both small and medium-sized enterprises. The C-IBC has a Secretariat that is led by a President, Executive Director and an Executive Vice-President to direct the organization and operating team.
C-IBC is headquartered in Toronto with operations in British Columbia, Quebec and New Delhi, India. TaraSpan is a member of the Canada-India Business Council and leads the Cleantech Committee within the association.
